We are amongst the reputed manufacturers of iron removal filters, used for removal of dissolved iron, present in the form of lower oxides. Designed in line with international quality standards, these filters are used for removing both oxidized iron and iron present in solution. Compact size plants have filter media that are capable of removing small amounts of hydrogen sulfide. With practical upper limit of iron concentration for these filters being 5 ppm, the filter has three functions: -
It acts as an efficient filter in removing oxidized iron and sediment. -
It acts as a compact catalyst in augmenting the union of oxygen and dissolved iron in water to form oxidized (filterable) iron (the water must contain at least 0.1 ppm oxygen for every 0.7 ppm of iron). -
In case where the water has little or no oxygen the media will give up some of its own store of oxygen to oxidize iron. In order to restore the media, it must be periodically regenerated with potassium permanganate (depending upon oxygen content of water). To facilitate regeneration, optional regenerant systems are available. For efficient application, the pH must be at least 6.8 and temperature should not exceed 120° F. To aid in the oxidation of iron, the chlorine or potassium permanganate may be fed into the water ahead of the iron filter. | | | |

The plant comprises as SS316, mild steel rubber lined, unlined, epoxy, FRP Lined, FRP, LLDPE vessel that is filled with a bed of softening media supported on a bed of caution resin. The vessel provided with frontal piping, has top mounting and valves to control the operation of the unit. The softeners used are based on ion exchange process. These compact, self contain system comprise one mild steel/FRP pressure vessel, frontal piping with strong acid caution exchange resins in sodium form. The resins help eliminate the dissolved ions like calcium & magnesium from water producing high quality soft water. -
